"Villes et Métiers d'Art"

France is probably the only country in the world where one can find the widest variety of artisanal know-how (some of which goes back several centuries), and where these multiple traditions have been preserved – and updated – as talent and inspiration sometimes team up with fashion and contemporary design.

The table arts, jewellery, stained-glass windows, bell foundries, cabinetmaking, textiles...

You are cordially invited to take a « Tour de France » of authenticity, an itinerary of excellence.Created on the initiative of local elected officials concerned about promoting the cultural wealth and diversity of Arts and Crafts in their city, the Arts and Crafts City label (« Ville et Métiers d’Art ») groups together a selection of 70 towns and villages for which excellence and authencity are top priorities.
